Quarried from our Heber Quarry – Heber, Utah, Cherokee Red Sandstone is one of the most iconic stones in the Mountain West. Its deep iron-rich red tones have shaped walls, foundations, and landscapes throughout the region for generations.

This is not dyed rock. Not imported red gravel. This is true Utah sandstone pulled from the same ground that built Heber Valley.

Cherokee Red Decorative Aggregate delivers bold color, natural texture, and unmistakable regional character. It works as ground cover, accent rock, transition material, and visual contrast in both residential and commercial landscapes.

Cherokee Red Decorative Aggregate is a Base, Surface or Finish product when you Build It Right.™

Because it’s quarry-direct from Heber, Utah, you get reliable supply, authentic regional color, proven performance in Mountain West climates, and stone that belongs here.

Available in bulk or super sacks for flexibility on job sites large and small.

We’ll help you Build It Right.™ Build It Beautiful.™

Q: Will Cherokee Red fade over time?
A: No. The color is naturally occurring iron-rich sandstone and maintains its tone in outdoor environments.

Q: Is it suitable for xeriscape?
A: Yes. It performs well in low-water landscapes and provides strong visual contrast against green or silver plant palettes.

Q: Can larger sizes be used for drainage?
A: Yes. The 2" and 3–4" sizes are commonly used in dry creek beds and drainage applications.

Q: Is this the same stone used in Heber’s historic walls? A: Yes. Cherokee Red Sandstone has shaped the region’s architecture and landscapes for decades.
