Honey Crest™ Crushed Travertine

PRO PRICING AVAILABLE – Ask about bulk tons, contractor rates, delivery options, and project pricing.

Bring the Honey Crest™ look across more of the landscape.

Quarried in Northern Utah, HoneyCrest Crushed Travertine carries the same soft gray base, warm ribbons of honey and gold, and natural mineral character that define the HoneyCrest stone family. In crushed form, that color becomes a versatile Surface material for pathways, xeriscape, landscape beds, transitions, and the spaces surrounding larger stone.

Honey Crest Crushed is a Surface product when you Build It Right.™ It creates the ground plane that connects the bigger pieces of the project. Pair it with HoneyCrest boulders, builders, rubble, or other natural stone to carry a consistent material story through the entire landscape.

Available in 1" Minus and 2" Minus, both blends include crusher fines. Choose 1" when you want a tighter, more compactible finished surface, or step up to 2" when you want more visible stone texture and character.

It isn't just ground cover. It's another way to make the whole landscape feel like it belongs together.

Variants

1" Minus

A smaller crushed blend with crusher fines that compacts into a tighter finished surface.

The smaller aggregate and fines make 1" Minus the better HoneyCrest option for areas where foot traffic, compaction, and a more refined appearance matter.

Best for:

  • Pathways and walkways

  • Compacted pedestrian areas

  • Xeriscape paths

  • Landscape transitions

  • Stepping-stone paths

  • Finished ground-cover applications

2" Minus

A larger crushed blend with crusher fines that puts more of HoneyCrest's natural stone character on display.

The larger aggregate creates additional texture and visual weight while the fines fill the spaces between pieces. It's a strong choice for broader landscape areas where you want the ground cover to become part of the design.

Best for:

  • Xeriscape

  • Landscape beds

  • Larger ground-cover areas

  • Natural transitions

  • Areas around boulders and wall rock

  • Projects where a more pronounced stone texture is desired

Q: What's the difference between 1" Minus and 2" Minus?

A: Both contain crusher fines. The 1" Minus uses smaller aggregate and generally creates a tighter, more compactable finished surface. The 2" Minus contains larger stone for a more pronounced, textured appearance.

Q: Which Honey Crest size is better for pathways?

A: 1" Minus is generally the better choice for a compacted walking surface because its smaller aggregate creates a tighter finished surface.

Q: Does 2" Minus also contain crusher fines?

A: Yes. Both Honey Crest Crushed variants contain crusher fines. The primary difference is the maximum aggregate size and the resulting finished texture.

Q: Is Honey Crest Crushed good for xeriscaping?

A: Yes. It works particularly well as natural stone ground cover in water-wise landscapes and can be paired with boulders, wall rock, planting, and other landscape materials.

Q: Do crusher fines affect drainage?

A: They can. Minus material contains smaller particles that fill voids and compact more tightly than washed aggregate. Consider drainage, grade, soil conditions, and intended use when planning the installation.

Q: Can I match this with other Honey Crest products?

A: That's one of its biggest design advantages. HoneyCrest™ Crushed can be paired with HoneyCrest boulders, rubble, wall rock, and other formats to carry the same color and stone character across the project.

Q: How much do I need?

A: Coverage depends on area, installation depth, and compaction. Bring us your measurements and we'll help calculate the tonnage for your project.
