Q: How do I choose between 1” minus, 2” minus, and 3” minus?
1” minus is best for tight joints and detailed patios.
2” minus is the most common and stable for general patio work.
3” minus is ideal for stepping stones or rustic, irregular installations.

Q: What does “minus” mean?
A: It refers to the natural thickness range. “1-inch minus” means the stone generally falls under 1” in thickness.

Q: What’s the benefit of Water-Washed patio stone?
A: Cleaner surfaces, lighter handling dust, and enhanced color visibility—great for high-end or wet-lay installs.

Q: Do I need a special base for natural stone?
A: A compacted gravel base (3–6”) is recommended for dry-lay patios. Ask our team for a base-depth calculation.
