Quarried from our Cotton Thomas & Fish Creek Quarries – Moulton, Idaho, Buckskin quartzite is part of world-renowned quartzite country. This is real Mountain West stone shaped by geology, weather, and time.

Buckskin features warm sandy tans, soft caramel movement, and subtle mica that catches the light without overpowering the space. It’s approachable, durable, and naturally balanced.

This product is available in two versatile formats:

1"–3" WaterWashed Minis

Naturally rounded and softened through washing, these smaller patio pieces are ideal for: Informal patios, garden pathways, stepping stone layouts and tighter installs where full stone isn’t practical. They create movement. Texture. A slightly more relaxed feel.

½"–1" Decorative

Thinner and lighter, this option is ideal for: Overlay applications, accent zones, light-traffic paths, or other design transitions. It brings the warmth of Buckskin into projects where weight or elevation matters.

Q: What’s the difference between Minis and Decorative?
A: Minis (1"–3") are thicker, more structural patio pieces with water-softened edges. Decorative (½"–1") is thinner and lighter, ideal for overlay or lighter-use applications.

Q: Is Buckskin quartzite durable?
A: Yes. Quartzite from this Idaho region is known globally for its strength and freeze-thaw resistance. It performs exceptionally well in Mountain West climates.

Q: Does the mica make it slippery?
A: No. The mica adds subtle visual sparkle but does not reduce traction.

Q: Do I still need proper base prep for smaller stone? A: Absolutely. Smaller pieces require solid base preparation to prevent shifting or settling over time.
